Game Interface & Menu

Today we will talk about the game's interface. On the upper left side of the screen, there's time indicator. The format is Year/Month/Day. On the right, it shows how much money you have and the so-called "research" points. There are three types of them, and they are the most important points in the game, you can use it to level up teachers, research for new facilities and help your student to improve their grades. These research points can be get through teachers participating school activities, students' conversations, and school events.

Next, on the lower screen, the button on the left side is for you to save your game, where as the one on the right side is to open Menu. When you are building stuffs, this button will become "stop" or on other events, it becomes "return"

Now, when you open the main menu, the first option is "Construction". You can build more classrooms here as well as other thing. In the beginning of the game, you will only see classroom "1-1" being shown. Later on, if your "1-1" classroom already have 4 students, classroom "1-2" will appear. And when the school year is almost over, classroom "2-1" will appear and so on.

Second option being "Management". You can see the sub-menu being: "Student Council Room", this place is where you spend money and research points to get new facilities. Second sub-option is to make item. Whereas third one is for you to manage you school club. This option will only become available when you have school club(s) in your school.

Third option is "Within a School". The first sub-option is "Subject Challenge". In this option, you get one of your student to go for exams, if you pass the exams, your school subject will get leveled up and that also means your school fee will increase as well. I suggest you try doing this in the beginning of the game.

The next one is "General". You can get all the information here, the first one being "Students General", second one is "Teachers General", third one is "Facilities", next one is "Graduation Routes" a.k.a what you gonna do next, after graduation. The last one is "Spot Dictionary". In this game, when certain classrooms or facilities being placed near each other, it will become a "Ninki (famous) Spot" that will give a big bonus when doing activities as well as attract more students. I will come out with the guide for this in the near future :P

Finally, there's "System" Menu. First one is for you to save, second on is "Settings", next is "How to play", follow by "High Score" and last one is "Title Screen". By the way you can see when you tapping on menu, the game is paused and the lower right side button becomes "Return". Tap there to get back to your game. The button on the lower left side is for you to go to Kairosoft Website.

Phew... I've done some basic for this :D Lately I suddenly have a lot of work to do (I'm working for my Dad for the time being), but I will try to get this guide done as soon as possible :P

And by the way does anybody know how to get rid of these extra blank spaces?? The post appeared right when I was composing it. But after this getting published, the whole thing just looks so horrible >"<

Starting the Game

Welcome to Pocket School Story 2! :D :D Well, actually I don't know why it has that English name but seems that it's how people call it on the Internet. So you gonna start the game soon. There's only to option, the first one is to start, the second one is High Score. And the kairo-kun icon at the lower left corner is to go to Kairo Park site.

If you never play your game before, you can start it straight away (I think.. I can't remember anymore =.= ) Otherwise, it will look like this. The red floppy disk is autosave, and the blue one is your own save game. Click on either them and this 2-option box will appear. The first one is to let you continue and the later one is to start the game from scratch.

After that, choose where your school gonna be. The numbers shown there are clear points. The red ones are those map you haven't cleared yet.

Next, you can name your school, or just leave it like that. Then, choose your school uniform. After you finish, click on the last black phrase with the >> to continue.

On this screen, you will choose one of your student. The first option is to Name, follow by Face, next is Gender and the last one is type, or characteristic. After you finish customizing your first student, choose the black phrase to start the game. The blue one is to go back to the previous menu. Now, let start you first school :D

School Events

Below are the main yearly events:

Entrance Ceremony

In the first year, you will only have 2 students enter your school at the ceremony, after that will be some transfer students. The higher level your school is, the more students you will get at the entrance ceremony.

Summer Event

In summer, there will be a dialog box asking you to choose what type of event, and the cost corresponding... Different type of event will attract different type of students to join the school. Research points will be award, too. Different even will reward you with different type of research points. Next, you will have to choose a representative student to ask the schoolmates to join the event.

Autumn Event

This will be same as the summer one. These events are good for attracting new students, make sure you save up some money for these!

After-graduation Event

This event is available once you have 3rd year students. It's about what they gonna do after graduating, some want to be Flower Shop Owner, some want to become Police Officer, ect. Each type career have different monetary value and the school will sort of enjoying 3% commission from that. There will be two probability: Pass and Fail (I call it like probability because I still don't know how to manipulate the passing rate, yet...) And if the student fails to become what he/ she wanna be, he/ she will be come "freeter".

Graduation Ceremony

Well, this one is obvious. 3rd year students saying goodbye to their beloved school...

Hi

Hi everybody, Welcome to Kairo Game Guides :D :D

This blog will be the place I put my own guides for Kairosoft's Games. If you don't know what I'm talking about you can go to this site http://kairosoft.net/index.html. They are actually popular Japanese tycoon games on mobile. They get their worldwide attention from the game Game Dev Story and Hot Springs Story for iPhone and Android. Their latest games on iPhone (I'm not sure about Android since I use iPhone) are Pocket School Story 2, Game Shop and Manga-dojo. Currently these games are still in Japanese and that's is why I want to create this blog to provide some simple guides on these games, so that those of you who manage to get the game but can't read Japanese, can play it at well.

I'm still playing Pocket School Story 2 (PSS2) now. It's a great game and I hope more and more people would know about this game~

I'm still doing the guide for PSS2 and I will post what I've done so far.. it's first edition so there will be lot of mistakes :P Updates will come as fast as possible, I promise.
